509 is excited to launch the all new lightweight C2 carbon fiber helmet. With a lightweight full carbon fiber shell, integrated breathbox, snowmobile specific ergonomics and amazing attention to detail, the C2 is the most advanced helmet 509 have ever produced.
Building upon the best features of the original Evolution Carbon helmet, 509 redesigned the C2 to be lighter, stronger, more stylish and with a better fit & finish. Featuring a full carbon fiber shell the C2 weighs in at a featherly 1180 grams while meeting and exceeding stringent ECE and DOT safety standards. The new design also includes an interlocking dual density EPS, improved comfort liner, updated mouthpiece, no-slip locking visor and updated breathbox.
During the design process 509 worked closely with their team riders with the goal of making a helmet that is as unobtrusive as possible to the riding experience. To increase the riders field of view the visor was redesigned to be more compact as well as featuring a new center that locks the visor in the desired position. The mouthpiece was also redesigned to have a more flush profile that reduces the tendency for snow to collect when riding in deep snow. Another new feature is the breathbox that is contoured to match the riders face and can be worn either inside or outside the goggles, by providing a better seal the breathbox is able to block wind and snow and eliminate goggle fogging.
