MaxSled.com to support Black Woods ALS Charity rider Ike Daughenbaugh

If you haven’t been touched by ALS consider yourself lucky.  ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) or better known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease is a terrible disease that robs its victim of the ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe… finally killing them after a terrible battle.

So when we here at MaxSled.com were given the chance to help support Ike Daughenbaugh, who’s family has been particularly affected by ALS, in the 2013 Blackwoods Blizzard Tour fund raising ride we jumped at the chance.

Ike is an avid snowmobiler, local Minneapolis business owner and son in law of Larry Kessler.  Larry, at the age of 61 just before retirement, was diagnosed with ALS.  He lost his life 5 years later in 2001 to this terrible disease.

After watching what ALS did to Larry and others around him, Ike and his family decided to give their full efforts to raising money to defeat ALS.

MaxSled.com is proud to join Ike’s efforts.  We’ll be providing him with a snowmobile and other gear as well as offering other ride support.  And as you might well imagine, we are calling on our loyal readers to donate to his efforts.  Please click the following link to go right to Ike’s donation page and give generously to help us defeat this terrible disease.
