Thursday’s 3: Update your sled for the New Year

Winter is officially here, and whether you’ve gotten your sled out on the snow yet or not, you may have been thinking about how you could update it, both cosmetically and functionally for the new year. This week we bring you three aftermarket products that will cover both the look and the performance updates you want. Check out the cool Rugged Series Bumpers from Straightline Performance, C&A Pro’s Xtreme Crossover Skis and the awesome Fox Factory Series 2.0 Zero QS3-R shock!

Straightline Performance Rugged Series Front Bumpers

Straightline Performance positions the Rugged Series bumpers as “the ultimate in protection for those of you who want a bold look for your ride.” We tend to agree. The Completely designed 6061 aluminum extrusion provides superior strength with an innovative and unique look to match the styling and great lines of today’s machines. Designed to offer additional protection from trees, rocks, and other unexpected obstacles and are a must for those of you who like to play off-trail.

The Rugged Series is built on a double wing and skid plate bumper configuration for added impact protection over the stock sled setup. They are completely rebuildable in the event of an accident, and they are available in 7 different colors. The cool thing is that you can select different between the top and bottom wing colors and the skid plate colors for a truly custom look.

The Rugged Series is currently available for the 2017 Ski-Doo 850 E-Tec, And 2015-17 Polaris Axys models.

MSRP: $149.95

C&A Pro Xtreme Crossover Skis

Modern crossover riders are looking for great performance and handling on packed snow as well as fresh snow. One of the most significant considerations for that kind of rider is the ski. While the OEMs do an OK job in the dual-purpose ski department, you may want to look to the aftermarket for another option. C&A Pro’s Xtreme Crossover Ski (XCS) offers great handling and flotation performance for today’s high-tech and high-powered crossover sleds. This ski features outboard keels for precise control, snow scoops to maintain grip and they are tapered for side-hilling and offer the best performance for both on and off trail riding. The C&A Pro XCS is available in a variety of colors to let you customize your look. The XCS uses a standard ski with application-specific mount kits to fit most sleds on the snow.

MSRP: $459.95/pair + application-specific mount kit $41.95

Fox FACTORY SERIES 2.0 ZERO QS3-R

If you are looking for the ultimate in ride control, you owe it to yourself to check out the Fox Factory Series 2.0 Zero QS3-R shock. These coil spring shocks are stacked with all of Fox’s premium technologies. You get the trick gold-tone Kashima Coating for reduced surface friction, Fox Ice Scraper Technology (FIST) to keep the shock rod clear of debris and reduce internal contamination. They feature one of our favorite features, the QS3 quick-selection dial for three-stop compression adjustments. 2-inch main tube and a remote reservoir hold plenty of shock oil to fight boiling and fade. And like all of Fox’s top shelf shocks, the Factory Series units are fully rebuildable and custom-tunable to deliver the ride you want.

MSRP: $1,405/pair
