What’s Hot and Not for 2011 – Polaris 800 Assault Switchback 144 in Orange Madness

Take a Rush Pro-Ride hood and put it on a more conventional tunnel and you have the new 800 Assault Switchback. Paint it a dark metallic orange and you have one hot sled for 2011. This model is the one the Max Sled Crew was wishing for last season.

Yes, we like the Rush, but the unconventional tunnel and rear suspension takes a little getting used to. We thought ‘how cool would it be to have the Rush front end and a conventional tunnel’? Well, now we have it and this sled rocks! The hottest part is the kick-ass metallic orange color this came in if you spring-ordered it. Sorry late-comers, you’ll have to settle for the silver (not quite as hot on this model). The 800 motor really works this year, we promise (or at least Polaris engineers promised us), and this sled is quite fun to ride, and a little more predictable than our experience with the 2010 Rush. Yes, Polaris has one hot ticket with the 2011 800 Assault Switchback in Orange Madness.
